Welcome to the international website of the Council of Evangelical Methodist Churches, a Protestant church movement established on February 11, 1980 in New York City, NY. In 2010 our organization will continue to build upon the many blessings of 2008 and 2009; years which saw us lay down the framework to expand the Council of Evangelical Methodist Churches, admit new congregations in the Dominican Republic and Haiti, and elect and ordain our first General Bishop of the council.
We hope you take the time to see what the Evangelical Methodist Church has to offer: an evangelical, protestant and spiritual guiding light in times of gathering storm clouds throughout the world. The Evangelical Methodist Church is committed to the missionary nature of the message of Jesus Christ: good tidings to the poor and broken-hearted of GOD's eternal love and compassion for humanity. Through a strong relationship with GOD the Father, Jesus Christ and the power of the Holy Spirit, we believe that we can continue the mission layed down by our spiritual forefathers: John Wesley, Benjamin Titus Roberts, and Jesus Ureña Sr. Enjoy your time here with us, as this website ministry continues to grow. May the Lord bless you!
The Right Honourable Abraham Ureña, General Bishop
